Important music group such as the
Association of Tchaikovsky Competition Stars (ATCS), Tchaikovsky Foundation,
Tchaikovsky Museum cooperate the orchestra management.
The fact that the orchestra's
activity is built around the ATCS projects, allows it to preserve historical
traditions. The orchestra's activity is aimed at performing with the high-class
soloists, at projects that ATCS realizes itself or in which realization ATCS
takes part. Among them such music events as International Tchaikovsky
Competition for Young Musicians, International Tchaikovsky Competition,
Chaliapin Bass Competition, International Tchaikovsky Music Festival, festivals
"Moscow Autumn" and "Pushkin Music Festival"...
Such prominent musicians as Victor
Tretiakov, Maxim Fedotov, Gidon Kremer, Mikhail Pletnev, Lev Vlasenko, Natalia
Gutman, Eliso Virsaladze, Nikolay Petrov, Naum Shtarkman, Natalia Shakhovskaya,
Susan Starr, Barry Duglas, Nikolay Lugansky, Victor Pikaizen, Liana Isakadze, Ko
Iwasaki, Sergey Stadler, David Geringas, Laurense Leiser, Kirill Rodin,
Alexander Kniazev, Irina Arkhipova, Natalia Erasova, Vladimir Chernov, Rafael
Oleg, Andre Laplante, Vladimir Ovchinnikov, Mario Brunello, John Lill, etc.,
took part in the concerts and festivals organized by the Association.
The orchestra President and
founder is Andrey Scherbak, professional manager, author and manager of major
music projects.
General Director of the Orchestra
is Vitaly Panchenko, who has got a great experience of orchestra management and
who is a musician himself.
At present the Principal Conductor
of the Orchestra is Vasiliy Sinaisky, one of the most individual and talented
Russian conductors of this generation. Winner of the Karajan Competition in
Berlin he enjoys a thriving career in Europe, Japan and Аmerica. Sinaisky is
also a distinguished operatic conductor. His opera productions include
Tchaikovsky's "The Queen of Spades" in Dresden, Berlin, Karlsruhe, notable
performance with the Bolshoi and Latvian Opera companies, including Mussorgsky's
"Boris Godunov" and Tchaikovsky's "The Queen of Spades". Sinaisky performs
actively on the best concert stages of Europe and Russia.

The Principle guest conductor of
the orchestra is the well-known in Russia and Europe musician - Alexander
Anisimov, who is also the chief conductor of the Belorussia Grand Academic Opera
and Ballet Theatre and the chief conductor of the Irish National Symphony
Orchestra.
Alexander Anisimov is acknowledged
to be authority of symphony and opera music. He participated in many music
festivals in Europe, his opera productions in Russia, France, Italy, USA,
Ireland, Netherlands, Japan, etc., put him onto the level with the major
conductors of our times. He conducted concerts with Mstislav Rostropovitch and
Monserrat Cabaglie.
The orchestra conductor is Yury
Tkachenko, a graduate of the Russian Gnessins Music Academy (class of
B.Demchenko). Took classes with the famous conductors - Professor A.Katz and
Professor I.Musin. He worked with the Tchaikovsky Big Symphony Orchestra under
direction of V.Fedoseev as the assistant conductor.
He toured of Japan in 1997 with
success and has made several CD recordings.
The Orchestra performs the classic
symphony, opera and ballet repertoire and that is due to the high-class
mastership of its conductors and soloists. The orchestra carries out educational
and charitable programs for the Russian and foreign music lovers.
The orchestra has made a number of
audio-recordings: ballet music - "Nutcracker", "Swan Lake", "Raimonda",
"Corsair", Piano Concertos by Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Mozart...Special place in the
Orchestra's history is occupied by the work on the "Shin Sangokushi” production
(on the Japanese tale) with the famous “Super Kobuki” theatre
(Japan).
The Russian Symphony Orchestra has big creative
plans and fine future. The orchestra toured of Japan (1997 and 1998 - Fuji Fest)
and Republic of Korea.
